KABA, along with the Hana Center (formerly the Korean American Community Services) runs a clinic that directly serves Korean-Americans and other community members in the Chicago-land area. Our clinic is held the first Thursday of every month from 7-9 p.m. and located at 4300 N. California Ave., Chicago, IL. Dinner is provided by KACS from 6-7 p.m. to volunteering attorneys.
The Clinic offers initial consultation designed to advise and direct clients regarding their legal matters. The Clinic has served over 1,000 individuals during the past 10 years. KABA volunteer attorneys consult and advise a number of clients on various issues, ranging from immigration, real estate, family law, bankruptcy, criminal law and general litigation matters. The Clinic is grateful for any attorneys from any practice area who wish to volunteer their time. Knowledge of the Korean language is not necessary to volunteer.
Anyone wishing to volunteer can contact the KABA Legal Clinic Director, Jaesang Lee, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
